Sidecar Racing is a dangerous sport, these 3-wheeled bikes can hit speeds of 260kph and have a tendency to flip over if not handled carefully. However they are also the most amazing sight on the racing circuit and the only form of motorsport where both the passenger & driver both steer the vehicle.
The SRA was formed in 1968 by a bunch of Toronto Motorcycle enthusiasts but now comprises of racers from much further with teams from Ontario, Quebec, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Races regularly take place in Ontario, New Hampshire, and West Virginia with occasional trips to Ohio & Illinois.
It’s the most fun that you can have on 3 wheels, 2 up, 1 inch from the ground!

Follow Up: SRA at Supershow 2011
January 15, 2011We've now had one week to recover from what was a very successful Toronto International
Motorcycle show.
Our booth generated lots of interest and was in an ideal location. We were showing sidecar videos on the TV which also drew in a lot of interested folks.
Steve Fletcher & Brett Hansen won a Motorcycling Award of Excellence for Sidecar Racing and the Rick Mercer TV Show won the same for best motorcycle TV segment.
Many people asked for copies of our schedule and we handed out approximately 250 SRA 2011 Racing programs. These contain the 2011 schedule of course but also individual team information, and links to our club & other links to the sidecar world in general.
The fact that we will be at Grand Bend, and Cayuga this year also generated interest and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see new fans at these events just to watch the SRA.
I should also thank Bar & Hedy Hodgson for inviting us to the show - they worked very hard
to ensure that things went smoothly for our club.
